Hillary Finished
Talk about optimal ad placement.
The ad may have changed by the time you view the AP story (hmmm...checking after posting this...yup, it has), but that was what was there when I grabbed the screen shot. I did not photoshop it, I swear.
And RIP, Sir Edmund. I'm sure that there will be more tears from Hill over the person for whom she was named.

A great explorer dies - and Rand just has to find some way to make fun of it.
What a creep.

I didn't "make fun of" his death, Keith.

Why is Keith Cowing calling Edmund Hillary a creep?
His traffic must be down, and he needs to visit other websites to drop hate filled bombs in order to get attention.

Sure you did Rand - just like you made fun of Dennis Kucinich's brother's death with your UFO comment.
Again, what a creep.

Keith, Rand is pointing out the irony of Hillary Clinton's "political death" being on the same page as the announcement of the passing of Sir Edmund Hillary. Of course you know that and that is most likely the true reason for your "arm waving" as you so often, annoyingly so, like to say.

I bet this article spawns a few conspiracy theories.

This sort of thing is an old problem; the inimitable jwz writes about working on the ad layout system for the Yellow Pages:
So the canonical example of wacky filler rules, and my personal favorite thing that I learned about phone books after too many years of hacking on them, is that the filler that says ``Call Before You Dig'' can't go in the ``Mortuaries'' category.

If Keith Cowing's reading comprehension is so poor, it doesn't exactly recommend his website, does it? Your comment was stupid, Keith.

Actually, the irony is in the report of the death of one of history's great explorers (who also spent the rest of his life trying to improve the lives of the natives of the region he loved) - on the same page as a story about someone who isn't fit to lick his boots clean. Not that she's alone in that - none of the other candidates are either.
The great tragedy of Western politics is that the people we really need in any job of consequence are just those who wouldn't touch it with a bargepole - because they don't like the smell.
