If our cats don't get an immediate response, they like to place a gentle paw on an eyelid. If we still don't respond, the claws come out. Usually the threat is enough!

i have two of them. One of them never ever climbs in bed. Other one fully makes up for it.

My cat used to punch me in the nose to wake me up in the morning. She hasn't done that lately, though. Must have something to do with being flung across the room a few times.
