Can Fasting Clear Your Arteries?
An interesting result I hadn't seen before. I'll sometimes go all day without eating, just because I don't have the time, or get around to it. But I never do a whole twenty-four hours. I wonder if the effect works at all for a two-thirds day fast? Of course, for people with blood-sugar problems, it would be kind of tough to do. Lots of other interesting stuff over at Future Pundit as well (as usual) including robot sex, eco-disaster tourism, huge battery breakthroughs, and other things.

Rand:
Search the below link for posts on "Intermittent Fasting" or just "Fasting." He shortens it to IF sometimes, but you'll get too many hits that way.

You've probably seen them, but Instapundit dropped a couple of possible bombshell links yesterday.
Somebody is claiming to have improved Li-ion battery capacity by an order of magnitude by using silicon nanowires coated with Li (speculative), and Nanosolar reports that they have finished their first production panels (apparently solid). Put together, it could be potentially game-changing (although I remain skeptical that solar will ever take over power generation due to sheer scaling issues).

Farting clear my arteries? How does that work?
Oh, fasting.
Never mind.
