My Irony Meter Is Smoking Jimmy Carter, of all people, calls Dick Cheney a "disaster." I suspect that the vice president will have too much class to respond, but the response would surely be entertaining. Posted by Rand Simberg at October 10, 2007 02:31 PMTrackBack URL for this entry:

Carter is, was and will be, to his dying day, a weakling and moron. I had the misfortune to serve under that twit when he was CinC. What a boob! Posted by Steve at October 10, 2007 03:18 PMI also served in the military under Carter. It was terrible. I used to say that he was a good man but a lousy president. Now I'm not so sure he's even a good man. He is certainly as bad an ex-president as he was as president. Posted by Larry J at October 10, 2007 03:41 PMTo be called a 'disaster' by the worst president in the past 150 years is high praise indeed. Posted by Mike Puckett at October 10, 2007 04:22 PMI served under both Carter and Reagan, working at the Pentagon. Security at he Pentagon during Carter's Presidency was a joke. Since I worked the mid-night shift most of my 3-year stint there at the AF 2044th Comm Group, I could roam around the hallways of the Pentagon when I had extra time. At times, my job took me to sensitive areas inside the Pentagon. If the guards knew me by sight, they would just let me walk right in and do whatever I had to do. After Reagan got in, security tightened up immediately, and my many security credentials were always checked against security level and need-to-know lists that were regularly maintained. The mood changed from one of ho-hum laziness to one of professionalism and seriousness almost overnight. Five deferment Dick has class? Posted by at October 11, 2007 01:49 PMI suspect that the vice president will have too much class to respond Maybe Cheney does have too much class to tell Carter to fůck off. Or to tell Carter that he's a major-league åsshole. But think how gratifying it would be if he cussed a blue streak. "Five deferment Dick has class? Posted by at October 11, 2007 01:49 PM" Obviously a concept so alien your primitive ape mind cannot comprehend it. Knowing NOW that the BUSH family has had long standing FAMILY close ties with the SAUDI Royal Family, & were heavily involved financially with Middle East Oil elements back when PRES. CARTER was in office, makes me quite SUSPICIOUS that perhaps the BUSH family, in collusion with the REAGANS & other powerful players, played a ROLE in creating the OIL CRISIS which helped doom the CARTER Presidency. Prince Bandar of Saudi Arabia, bankrolled Jr.'s purchase of the TEXAS RANGERS; bankrolled Jr.'s venture into OIL DRILLING, & bankrolled Georgie W. Bush's GOVERNOR's political campaign & his PRESIDENTIAL campaign in 2000. There's no way to find out if my suspicions are well founded, however, because you see, the 1st thing G.W. Bush did when he became President? He put all the Presidential Records all the way back to & INCLUDING Pres. Reagan & 1st Pres. Bush, under Lock & Key: "SECRET!" Pres. Carter was VISIONARY about one thing: the need to become ENERGY INDEPENDENT & the need to CONSERVE Energy, Increase Efficiency etc. But not enough people listened, & GREED won out, as usual. Many Democrats were DUPED into voting as "Reagan Democrats". We REGRET that vote to this day! CARTER at least was HONEST & a True "Christian"! He doesn't just "talk the talk" like Bush, he "walks the walk" in his life. Hillary Clinton, by the way, is just Bush Lite. Bill Clinton passed NAFTA & screwed the blue collar worker, helped cost 3 MILLION AMERICAN manufacturing jobs. By the way, at least Pres. CARTER actually SERVED in the MILITARY, in the Navy, unlike Chicken Hawks George W. Bush, DICK Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, & all the Republican bigmouths who pushed for the Iraq War.
The CITIZENS of ARLINGTON, Texas, BANKROLLED George BUSH's gubernatorial CAMPAIGN by APPROVING a HALF-CENT sales TAX to BUILD a STADIUM, thereby INCREASING the VALUE of the RANGERS by TENS of MILLIONS of DOLLARS. WHAT does my COMMENT have to do with ANYTHING? Do I have the ALL-CAPS thing RIGHT? Somebody HELP! Posted by Jay Manifold at October 13, 2007 02:58 PMPost a comment |
