Interesting, my old iPod Nano never even got warm after hours of playing.

rj: Well, it's a battery defect that causes a LiIon battery to catch fire, so that's hardly surprising...

Apple has a reputation for producing hot new products. It's not a bug,

Ah, learning from Microsoft huh? Or maybe; liar, liar, pants on fire?
I don't understand the attraction of these devices anyway. I find I need all my wits about me when negotiating airports, streets, driving etc. Don't understand how people can concentrate on the task in hand if they are distracted. Guess this guy was really distracted!

Andy,
you don't have a radio in your car, office, house etc, that you listen to ever, while doing something else? That would put you in a small minority if it's the case.

I don't have a radio in my truck workplace or house. When the used vehicles I buy have a radio fine, if not I won't spend the bucks to install one. I do not want them at work, dangerous.

I think Tesla electric cars are going to be dealt a serious blow if something like this happens to their Li Ion batteries. Although, I have to admit that would be pretty cool to see a bank of Li Ion batteries that large going off. Just hopefully without anyone sitting in the car.
