Uh Oh

As they become more plentiful, Linux boxes are becoming more attractive targets for rootkits.

The article overall was pretty balanced, they just put the shameless shill on top before the effects of Linux prevalence on servers were discussed.

Meanwhile, Windows PCs are a far greater threat to Internet on the whole, surprise, surprise.

Having said that, something needs to be done about SElinux. We have far superior security technology to anything that Windows offers, which can stop Storm in its tracks. However, its outright complexity and few small misfeatures (e.g. not distinguishing clean-up calls from the rest) prevent it from being deployed. Heck, this very laptop runs with selinux=0. By its nature, all Storm needs is a certain percentage of users disabling security enhancements. So, lots of work remains.
