An American "Peace" Protester

...has murdered a Dutchman. That will teach those people about supporting wars.

Wish I could be surprised but this is what one gets as expected from a sub-group of political "thought" that has made "liberalism" into default support for dictatorial enslavement for foreigners. Cue the usual idiotarian apologists in 3, 2, 1...

Of course they'll just throw him in a cushy European jail for a few years then let him out.
The bastard probably knew he'd get the death penalty over here so he went there.

Wait for the inevitable claims of "oh well THIS ONE GUY certainly doesn't represent THE WHOLE MOVEMENT!"

Which is true, but where's that sentiment when you're cherry-picking comments from LGF?

One of the things that I liked about "Forest Gump" was what I felt was a pretty accurate depiction of the average "60's-counter-culture" protester. It wasn't about being all love and peace and tolerance. It was about being filled to overflowing with livid rage.

Hmm, I guess he's not in the "I'm against the war but I support the Troops camp"......

The Netherlands has something called TBS, which is basically indefinite psychiatric detention at her majesty's pleasure. TBS can be imposed on a convict in addition to any prison term and is only served after the prison term. Given that this is a random axe murder, the judge might well order it.

An insanity plea really isn't a good idea for this bum.
