Not sure how to categorize this one, but here's a recent travel photoessay from the wilderness of Idaho and Montana, that reminds me of why I miss the American west. Sounds like my kind of road trip.

That was some pretty country. I just got back from trout fishing above Twin Lakes west of Leadville, another beautiful spot. Go over Independence pass, if you get the chance. I sure enjoy the mountains in the summer but I don't miss shoveling snow.

I just got back from a road trip From Dallas to Santa Fe. The trip down 285 to Clines Corners was awesome.
Those pics in the linkto were wicked. Lots like great Subaru country.
