Thats too bad.
I watched him after school on Nickelodeon nearly everyday back in my elementary school years. Learned how to measure the height of a tree with a pan of water. Would test myself and friends reaction times with a ruler. He is how I learned to make carbon dioxide. I used his various demonstrations for several science projects in school.
I always liked how if he got a dumb kid on his show that he would openly chide them right there during the telecast. I'd always be like, "I should be on his show, I'm smarter then that num-nuts."

Oh, that's sad. I loved his show.

I will miss him too. His show about cleaning silver with a glass baking pan lined with aluminum foil was so cool. I can't remember the concoction other than water and salt, but you touched the silverware to the foil and the tarnish magically transferred off the silverware. My mother had me clean all the silverware in the house. She thanked me for the work, to which I replied, "Thank Mr. Wizard."

He is how I learned to make carbon dioxide.
I've been doing that since I was a tot, almost from birth, merely by exhaling. What was Mr. Wizard's trick? ;-)

I have one faint memory of him: he was addressing the common and scientifically inaccurate word "suction."
