A View Of The Future

From the past. Lileks would have a great time with this.

Well, we did get the undersea tourist boats.

"A View Of The Future From the past."

For some people it really is all Bush, all the time.

Thankfully most of us have lives that don't revolve around whatever monkey is occupying the Oval Office.

Funny, I was thinking about Al Gore when I saw the weather machine...

Brian: "For some people it really is all Bush, all the time."

Especially for Bush himself, but you're bringing him up is a little puzzling. Nobody mentioned him.

Alan: "Funny, I was thinking about Al Gore when I saw the weather machine..."

Better think of the weather machine you drive to work.

A boat/train? Man, I wanna know what beer they been drinkin'.

And what was with people in the past and their fascination with walking on water.

"Hey look at me I'm walking on water!! Yeap, just out here walking around on this here water......." *Great White shark leaps out of water and swallows head*

I will admit that my house is sorta blocked off by Lake Ray Hubbard east of Dallas. I find myself wishing I had one of those sports car/boats that way I could cut across the lake and avoid the traffic up/down 635 LBJ.

My first reaction was to lauch - then I realized we have most of them.

A Quick Stroll on the Water

The Moving Pavement (moving sidewalks are common in airports, malls)

House-Moving by Train (Ok we use big trucks most of the time)

Televised Outside Broadcasting ( oh yeah!!)
Undersea Tourist Boats (Yup)
Roofed Cities ( Mall of America? Galeria? -- hell skyscrapers!)

Personal Airships/Personal Flying Machines
( yup though they arn't at the flying car in every garage level)

Summer Holidays at the North Pole
( or ever other place you can think of - even in orbit!)

Police X-Ray Surveillance Machine
( Does infared count??)

Weather Control Machine ( well no)
Combined Ship and Railway Locomotive (?? what was the point? Perhaps in a non containerized cargo era)
