SpaceX Launch Today?

Current schedule seems to be 4 PM Pacific (that means this evening for us (current) east coasters).

That sound you hear is the sound of thousands of NewSpace advocates crossing their fingers.

Went to the SpaceX site and link posted earlier, went to the webcast, which is supposed to start at T -60 minutes (5 minutes ago), and there's a shaky shot of the rocket and trees blowing in the wind, with a timer sitting at T +00:00:29.

I guess I'm not really sure what, if anything, is happening, and now I'm drawing a blank on who was liveblogging the launch last year, so I can't check them, either.

They had to scrub for the day. The stopped at t minus 1:15. From what I gather it was a range telemetry or land-line issue.

I have a Firefox sidebar extension that I use for live events like this - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/4039/

If you use it, you can go to any page, open the sidebar and see what people are saying. Handy for those coming to the webcast a little late.
