Another Defection In Iran?
Maybe.
The question is, if they're finally getting actionable intelligence, will there be any action?

The U.N.
(Well, you asked who *should*, not who credibly *would*.)

Personally, I'd wait for the Iranians. The majority of the public are as pissed off at their current leadership as we are.

We may now expect the MSM to reprint the FARS and IRNA tickers without editing. Gen. Asgari will receive such an ass-kicking smear campaign that he'll beg to go home, and any who might consider following him will realize they will not be welcomed.
The international Left made it clear when they told Iraqi Leftists to FOAD: the tyrants are their treasure, and any attempt at liberty will be opposed with everything at the Left's disposal. What's Left? Not much.
