Pork was likely a factor. Being on the base closure list didn't help, either.

Yes, it's Congress' fault that the troops were so poorly treated at Walter Reed. And who controls Congress? Democrats, that's who!

If walter reed is undrefunded, it's a failure of leadership.

The US Government is spending $600 Billion on the
DoD, if the DoD can't afford some paint, drywall and
a few clerks, well, it says something.
