Maybe It's On An Atkins Diet You know, I'm not a vegetarian, but I generally restrict my carnivorousness to vegetarian animals. Well, I guess I'll have to rethink my love of beef. Behold--a cow that eats chickens. Posted by Rand Simberg at March 08, 2007 09:51 AMTrackBack URL for this entry:

This cow ever work at Chik-Fil-A? Posted by Steve at March 8, 2007 10:24 AMRand, For some reason, when I heard this on the radio a while ago, I thought it would make a perfect entry for your blog for some reason. Yes, the Chick-Fil-A 'Eat Mor Chikn'' campaign is a smashign sucess in India. Perhaps they should change it to 'Eat Mor Procsed and frid Chikin'' Posted by Mike Puckett at March 8, 2007 11:29 AMChick Fil A came instantly to my mind as well. Those cows are serious! I do wonder if the higher protein diet would lend itself to better beef? Posted by Leland at March 8, 2007 11:54 AM
Remember your babyback ribs? Pigs is omnivores. You've also written fondly of lobsters, which are carnivorous. As are most of the commonly consumed fish: trout, salmon, bass, mahi mahi, etc. Chickens are omnivorous. Have you ever seen a hen scratching the ground for insects? Maybe beef is your best choice after all? Edward, do you know the meaning of the word "generally"? Besides, it was a joke (and an old one). Posted by Rand Simberg at March 8, 2007 03:04 PMCows have been eating other cows for a long time, albeit the meal didn't have the visual appeal of a live cow. Posted by Toast_n_Tea at March 8, 2007 03:47 PMYou guys are joking about this. But can you imagine a herd of bovine carnivores, mouths dripping with human blood, horns festooned with gore, relentlessly hunting you down like a juicy clump of grass? Will you be laughing then? Posted by Bob Hawkins at March 8, 2007 05:11 PMBob, That's a scene that should be added to the next edition of the Book of Revelation. The cattle could be branded 666. Never joke about your place on the food chain. It could come back to haunt you, when the galactic overlords arrive.
No need to imagine. The man-eating cow has been graphically documented. http://www.newenglandcomics.com/cgi-bin/shop/search.cgi?user_id=&database=tick.csv&template=details.htm&0_option=1&0=NSP02462 Well, this came immediately to mind: You can click on my name if you don't want to cut and paste the link. Posted by TBinSTL at March 8, 2007 10:59 PM> You guys are joking about this. But can you I think you just gave the Sci Fi Channel their next movie. horns festooned with gore That would be kind of ironic, what with PETA complaining about his meat consumption. I think you just gave the Sci Fi Channel their next movie. "The Kine Of The Corn." Bossie And its sequel, Bossie II: This Tim Its Persnl Posted by McGehee at March 9, 2007 07:41 AMI'm a man eating cow. Moo. Posted by Josh Reiter at March 10, 2007 11:29 PMPost a comment |
