How Did This Get On The Air?

NBC, in a novel approach, actually interviews troops in Iraq, to see what they think about war criticism at home. They're not very impressed.

Did you catch the anti-chicken hawk argument one troop offered? That before you protest the war as a failure, you should actually visit Iraq to know what you are talking about...

It all depends on who you interview.

I've got a 21 year old who has quite a few issues with the war in Iraq. He has repeatedly told both of his younger siblings to not even think about enlisting unless and until this war is over with. He doesn't even want his twin (who's pretty well tried to get himself assigned over there despite having less than a year off from being in Afghanistan, who's also still suffering from PTSD from the first go to round) to get over there either.

Getting your vehicle blown up with you in it from EFPs (twice) probably has something to do with it, as battling with snipers on a daily basis. And he's still going out on missions.

He'll be home on R&R next month.

(Delete the to in go to round)

I suppose it's unseemly to suggest that before you
promote the war as a success, you actually go over
and take alook at baghdad.

Anonymous Moron, you continue to live up to your name. I'm not reporting anything. I'm simply noting the reporting of others who are there.

Hey Anonymous,
I propose a challenge to you. Take your own advice: Start a Blog before you criticize others. How 'bout that.

And to Bryan, I guess it is up to who you talk to. I have a good friend who has been to Afghanistan twice and Baghdad once. He's asked to go back. Also, was at a party a couple of weeks ago and met 4 Iraq vets. All of them said they couldn't believe how things 'on the ground' over there are portrayed here in the media. I sat up with them past dawn listening to hearing how they helped different people over there.
