This Explains Much

Jimmy Carter and the ghost of Begin.

Despite how lame Jerry Ford was, my vote for that man was the worst of my lifetime. And not just because it ruined my perfect record ever since of not voting for a Democrat for president.

Rand,

You've never voted for Any of the libertarian candidates
for president?

Your voting record belies your claim to be a "libertarian".

Real Libertarians vote for Ron Paul, Harry Browne, Andre Marrou
and ed clark.

I've voted for many of them, Anonymous Moron. I've voted for one Democrat, and one Republican (and I've never voted for any George Bushes). The rest of the time, I voted Libertarian, or I didn't vote.

Not that it's any of anonymous morons' business...

Nor is the comment logically sound. One perfectly reasonable strategy a libertarian might adopt would be to vote for whichever candidate is closest to his policy preferences AMONG THOSE LIKELY TO GET ELECTED. Since that restricts the field to two parties, a libertarian might well decide not to vote for the Libertarian.

Nice to know I'm not the only one who made that one-time mistake. It seems as though every time he opens his mouth I'm once again reminded of that lapse in judgement. Know if there are any good support groups out there?

Why doesn't A.M. post his name? Is he afraid that the Black Helicopters are going to swoop down and take him off to an internment camp?

It’s more likely he/she was burned by Rand in the past. Now he/she's afraid to stand up and back up their statements publicly. When your arguments intellectually shallow it’s nice to be anonymous.

'76 was my first presidential election. I was crushed when Carter won but SNL was elated. How much material did the Carter family provide SNL?
