Nostalgia (Part 2)
Remembering the sixties. It's sort of like the old joke--if you can remember the sixties, you probably weren't there. But as is pointed out, that was really the late sixties and early seventies (when I was in high school).
It makes me feel old--I share many of those memories, including visiting Haight Ashbury at its height (or depth, depending on your point of view).

I was born in '60 and wan't really paying attention to the news until Apollo 11, so most of what I remember is what was on television (including Apollo 11).
One of my many blessings is that I was insulated from the racial turmoil of the time. (Which is ironic when you consider that for most of the decade I lived in the town that gave the world David Duke.) That, and growing up in a home without any racism, contributed to developing an objective perspective on matters of race.
