It's mentioned in this blog, in a way, too.

I was two weeks old on the 14th, when they left the moon - and thus am one of the youngest people in whose lifetime people have walked there. In my pessimistic moments I think that it's no better than even money that people will in my lifetime again.
Maybe that's why I hang out here.

I wonder if Harrison Schmidt and Gene Cernan are still bitter over the fact that we haven't been back yet?

From reading/listening to Schmidt and Cernan (and other Moonwalkers for that matter) I would say they were incredulous that we've abandoned the Moon, or maybe even a bit p!ssed about it. But not "bitter" about it, bitterness is more a feeling for lesser men than those who put their lives on the line to be the first to leave the confines of Earth.

Jane: I'll give you even money that test pilots and wealthy individuals will add to the footprints in the regolith in 15 years.
