Encouragement

Jon Goff is unaccountably questioning the value of his blogging. I haven't been linking to him as much as I should, but he has been putting up a lot of well-thought-out and thought -provoking posts on potential space architectures that would be far superior to NASA's current plans. Head over there and tell him to keep it up.

I do second the recommendation to get off Blogspot, though. If nothing else, it would allow him to post his URL in comments here.

You could invite him to co-blog with you, and that way he doesn't have to work as hard (neither would you), both of you get increased traffic, and he gets off of blog spot.

Splendid idea!

Rand,
I actually have a domain name registered www.selenianboondocks.com, and you can take any of the bl0gsp0t links, and change them from http://selenianboondocks.bl0gsp0t.com/* to http://www.selenianboodocks.com/* links instead and they should still work just fine...[Note I did have to change the o's to 0's to get this to even post, as you could guess]...Yup, it works just fine.

I do want to eventually upgrade, but have far too much on my plate at the moment to do so.

Thanks for the kind words!

~Jon

I agree, since Sam left, he could lend a hand and he woudld fit in here nicely.

Call it the 'Direct' version of blogging.

Mike, Dick, Leland,
It's an intriguing offer, but I'm not sure I'd really have much time, especially in the near future with Tiff expecting anytime now. I get the feeling that with a second little boy (and the first one about to turn two) that I may take a few weeks to a few months before I'm back to what passes for normal in these communities.

Not to mention that with the space to politics ratio on this blog (and the fact that my political views are about as divergent from Rand's and most of yours as is physically possible while still claiming the same label of "classical liberal"), I'm not sure I could keep the light to heat ratio at a reasonable level...

Jon,

Best wishes in whichever endeavor you choose, but I think you are doing pretty well with a little one and another on the way. As much as I like the multiblog concept, I do think individual blogs can be like fences in keeping good neighbors.

However, if you want to up traffic, I'm sure Rand can offer a few trolls. He seems to have plenty. At least one has this sock puppet routine he likes to employ.

Jon,

Keep fighting the good fight.
