When listening to or reading the rants of the anti-religious (as opposed to the non-religious like Rand) it is ironic how much they have in common with the most zealous members of those they rant against.
For some science is most definitely a religion as their devotion to science becomes as much based in faith in science as in any fact of science.

This is a little tangential, but it reminded me of a recent South Park episode where Richard Dawkins ends up ridding the future world of religion, resulting in warring atheist factions which say things like "Oh my science" and "Science damn you":
