Mars Express has delivered a nice animation of the Cydonia region. Needless to say, Richard Hoagland's lunatic fans will be disappointed. Or rather, they should be, and would be if they weren't nuts. As it is, they'll probably, along with Hoagland, decry the conspiracy to hide the truth, and claim that now ESA has become part of NASA's cover up.

One of these days an animation of the Face of Mars mouthing the words "Klaatu barada nikto" will surface.

I've never quite understood what the Face conspiracy wackos think NASA is trying to accomplish with this mythical "coverup." What possible benefit does a space exploration agency gain from hiding what would certainly be the most important space exploration discovery ever? I've never seen Hoagland et al explain what _purpose_ a coverup would serve.

Though seroiusly must say the first few seconds of the 3d from that perspective could see how the fast image could appear.

The Hell of it is, if this object had indeed been the massive artifact of intelligence that a casual look suggests, I can't think of a *better* justification for a humans to Mars program, to find out more.

Just as I say (among other things) to the Moon Hoaxers: "Apollo 13. Why would a series of fake landings also include a fake near-disaster that would only damage NASA public relations...?"

The thing about these facers, like any conspiracy nuts, is that the delusion is self-reinforcing -- new evidence to the contrary just proves the sophistication of the coverup.

The folks who read this site are clearly clueless. A quick study of any issue of the Weekly World News will tell you that the US government not only has already met with the aliens but actually includes them in the government. This also explains the lack of will to do anything about illegal aliens.

I like the enterprisemission.org site a lot of what hogland said is quite intersting, but very strange.I have been checking his site longer, than I have checked rand simberg site.

I wish things were moving fast enough that we could actually take Hoagland to Mars and let him explore Cydonia for himself. Let him fly over it and walk over it and dig into it and drive around it and anything else he wanted to do. What would he say when it was obviously just a big hill? He would probably claim he wasn't actually taken to Cydonia, maybe even claim he wasn't even on Mars.

Come on now......If it had been animated using HYPERDIMENSIONAL software the coverup would be destroyed !!!!!!
