Tragedy Of The Century I just heard on the teevee that Anna Nicole Smith has suffered from a mammary loss. The poor woman. First her son dies, and now this. The only thing that she had going for her, really, was her mammarian endowment. How will she get through life now? [whisper, whisper] What? [whisper] A memory loss? Ummmm... Never mind. If that weren't so funny, I'd accuse you of being callous! Posted by NukemHill at September 14, 2006 03:22 PMThe woman's son dies and you make fun of her loss? You have serious mental problems. Posted by at September 14, 2006 03:26 PMSorry Rand, normally anything poking fun at Anna Nichole would be funny, but not this. Posted by Cecil Trotter at September 14, 2006 03:35 PMI do sympathize with her over the loss of her son. But I just thought that the news report as I heard it was funny. Sorry. Posted by Rand Simberg at September 14, 2006 04:00 PMANS losing her memory? Mammaries? Yeah, that's funny, regardless. This woman makes a public spectacle of herself for a living. So when Rand makes a joke about her HE'S wrong? I think not folks. Posted by Steve at September 14, 2006 04:22 PMRand must be the life of the party at funerals. While everyone else is crying he's making jokes about the whole situation. Posted by at September 14, 2006 05:02 PMWell, if I thought that people would be reading this blog at the funeral, I might have had second thoughts. Posted by Rand Simberg at September 14, 2006 05:06 PMWell, after the way you callously disregarded the wonderful work of all of those intrepid, daring journalists that gave their lives in Iraq in the name of Truth, I'm not surprised that you would piss on the grave of a woman's dead son... [/sarcasm] -OR- You have a sense of humour. As do I. I actually found it a pretty funny pun. It's not like you made fun of the fact that her son died. But, I guess you're not posting about The War, so the Trolls have to find SOMETHING to feed on... Posted by John Breen III at September 14, 2006 05:45 PMThe fact that you'd think or write such thoughts - for any reason - leads me to think that you have some serious "issues". Posted by at September 14, 2006 09:32 PMMorbid humor is still humor, and it's not like the joke was about her dead son. How do you manage to attract all the anonymous cretins, Rand? Posted by John Irving at September 14, 2006 11:04 PMIn which connection, "" here is the most anonymous commenter so far. "" will have to work pretty hard, however, to be the most cretinous commenter as well. Posted by Jay Manifold at September 14, 2006 11:44 PMThe fact that you'd think or write such thoughts - for any reason - leads me to think that you have some serious "issues". The fact that you can't even type your own name leaves no doubt that you have issues. The joke is not nearly is bad as some of the headlines I read on the subject. The first was "Anna gains daughter, loses son", which sounds pretty callous to me unless her son had gotten married. Anyway, the whole incident seems rather fishy, and I'm afraid it will become the new Chandra Levy or Natalee Holloway story of the 24 hour news cycle. Posted by Leland at September 15, 2006 04:36 AMI'm surprised they're not bashing Rand because the most famous person to do this kind of joke was Gilda Radner, who is also <whisper> dead. </whisper> Posted by McGehee at September 15, 2006 07:35 AMRand's the kind of guy who laughs at a funeral, mhdvj efovq kdcoe zwop tesaf grkmba gvjcsldi Posted by cvyh bwgu at December 2, 2006 12:59 AMgndc expgoq aopqm hvnmbz tyiwjurd afjmwkt notsk Posted by znrb uwqinpde at December 3, 2006 02:22 PMgndc expgoq aopqm hvnmbz tyiwjurd afjmwkt notsk Posted by znrb uwqinpde at December 3, 2006 02:23 PMPost a comment |
