The Coming Wars Caroline Glick has a depressing, and entirely plausible (and in fact likely) analysis of the inevitability of war in the Middle East, and Israel's need to prepare for it now (which probably includes forming a new, competent government). Just one disagreement. Israel will not have to go to war with Iran. Israel has been at war with Iran (and Syria) for years, only via proxie. Given Rand is calling the current Israeli government Incompetent, anonymous, "Caroline Glick has a depressing, and entirely plausible (and in fact likely) analysis" Rand, Hey Rand, look what I found. It's a photo of you and the National Review editorial board! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:GWAR-beyond_hell-.jpg Posted by Brian Swiderski at August 21, 2006 09:07 AMBrian, here's some advice that you're probably incapable of taking, but almost everyone wishes you would: grow up. Posted by Rand Simberg at August 21, 2006 09:16 AMThe essays you post and your own tawdry analyses have about the gravitas of a Gwar video. And yet you cannot stop reading them. OD? Tob Posted by Toby928 at August 21, 2006 11:41 AMObviously some fiend has tied poor Brian to a chair and propped his eyelids open with toothpicks in front of my blog. Posted by Rand Simberg at August 21, 2006 11:47 AMI've always thought that panda bears are cute, and could be forgiven for their aggression cuz they are just dumb animals who don't know better, and sides, they are still cute. That doesn't mean that I disregard the glaring sign in front of the habitats that say "don't feed the animals." Retract all aid offered to all nations that are terrorists, or harbor terrorists, or likely to engage in war against us an our interests. We have been feeding the animals for too long, now we have a lake placid like mongrels opposing us, rather than the meek little creatures they should have been. Posted by Wickedpinto at August 21, 2006 03:49 PM"And yet you cannot stop reading them. OD?" I read them for the same reason people watch American Idol--to watch someone with delusions of adequacy embarrass themselves. But unlike Idol, the ridicule heaped on Rand is a just and proportional response to his own bombast, not an act of sadism against people whose talents aren't the equal of their dreams. Posted by Brian Swiderski at August 21, 2006 06:40 PM"Brian, here's some advice that you're probably incapable of taking, but almost everyone wishes you would: grow up." Whatever you say, Gwar Captain. Posted by Brian Swiderski at August 21, 2006 06:45 PM...the ridicule heaped on Rand.../em> My, my, my. My. What delusions of grandeur you have. Or do you fantastically imagine that the pathetic keyboard diarrhea that you contribute (unasked) to these comments sections constitutes a "heap"? If not, what are the other contributions to the "heap"? You need help, Brian. But I'm obviously not capable of offering it. Because I don't share, or even comprehend the nature of, your delusions.
