Don't Know Much About History
Just in case you weren't aware that Pat Robertson is an idiot:
The Rev. Pat Robertson said he hasn't been a believer in global warming in the past, but this summer's record-breaking heat is "making a convert out of me."
Yes, we never had hot summers before we started driving those SUVs.

For the record I believe global climate change is a serious issue. That said, gaining Pat Robertson's support is cold comfort on the warming issue.

With average temps in the US over the past 100 years moving not at all and the global (with far less data) average going up .6 degrees, I'm not a believer. Also, I distinctly remember the mid to late eighties where global cooling was the problem. The climate is cyclical and if anyone thinks we can outdo Mother Nature, they're idiots. Evolution works with the planet too.

The term "climate change" implies that there is such a thing as climate stability. There is not. There is also no room for a belief system in science. These climate scientists are behaving more like a priesthood, shouting heretic at any non-believer. Their computer models can be summed up in one phrase: garbage in, garbage out.

There's a win-win solution to the climate problem, and there's even a space tie-in. Cancel the Hubble servicing mission and use the money to build many large-aperture ground-based telescopes. Every amateur astronomer knows that whenever he takes delivery of his shiny new optical equipment, it rains or is cloudy for weeks. A bunch of 8-meter telescopes ought to send us into a cooling trend for at least a decade.

If the devil wanted to destroy Christianity, he couldn't do better than set up a slew of hystrionic, greedy, bigoted, moronic TV evangelists as the representivites of Christ on earth. Talk about intelligent design.

Yes, we all know that global warming is a myth and that all climatologists are liberal idiots. It's that simple.

Wow. Way to miss the point.
Here's a hint. This post has nothing to do with whether or not global warming exists, or with whether or not it's anthropogenic.
Or are you saying that you agree with Pat Robertson? (Think carefully before answering...)

Well...Pat is getting up in years, and all those 900 lb leg presses must be draining the blood from his head so that he doesn't remember other hot summers, such as 1980 or 1936 (I believe he is old enough to remember 1936).
