Shake And Bake
There's apparently been a pretty good temblor up in the north bay of the Bay Area (think Marin County) about twenty minutes ago. Maybe they'll mention it at the top of the hour.
You can bet that, with the heat we've had lately in CA (as well as everywhere else),people will be dredging up the claims about "earthquake weather."
Hopefully it's not a foreshock of something a lot bigger.

It was Sonoma County, and we felt it here (about 40 miles away) as a good, solid thump. No big deal, but my the Little Earthling gave me a slightly worried look, then went back about his business.

Scoff if you will "earthquake weather" happens. I didn't believe it either until I spent 2 years in San Diego and almost a year in Taft.
I don't understand it. It sounds moonbatish, but...

Rand, you nortéamericano chauvinist, you. There was a 5.9 (ie 32x stronger) quake just offshore from Baja California Sur, in the Gulf of California/Sea of Cortez, on Saturday at 6:20 PM PDT. See (temporary link) Earthquake List for Map Centered at 27°N, 110°W.
