The Latest CGI Ant Movie
Lileks reviews it as only Lileks can:
The length. Any movie that seeks to immerse you in the wonderful world of insects yet makes you yearn for the exterminator to show up has gone on too long. And not just because you know that’s the boss battle.
The CGI. Sometimes it’s good. Sometimes it’s okay. Sometimes the screen was obscured by the popcorn that flew out of people’s bags, so powerfully did the CGI suck.

is this the same guy who took individual ants for "examination" years ago. Maybe the film wasn't sadistic enough for him.

Man I'm sorry to hear this, but glad for the intel. I'm glad, it saved $40.00 and 2 hours in a theatre with 3 boys 5, 7 and 8!!
Thanks to Lileks.

Lileks nailed this one.
My kids dragged me to this movie. Funny - they did lose a load of popcorn ...
Sigh. $40 down the drain.
Maybe it would have been a more entertaining movie if the Julia Roberts Ant DID eat the kid!
