The Turkey story is not news to me, I wonder why others think that it is.

I've been Celting around for about 10 years taking Welsh courses from Cymdeithas Madog every summer. Because the Celts were in Central Europe at one time, I jokingly told my Welsh friends that my Polish roots may make me more Celtic than they are.

Two years ago on a trip to Greece and Turkey a cruise mate, a Jewish New York psychiatrist whose hobby is studying trade routes, told me that the Celts came from much farther east and had passed through the mid-East on their way. Laughingly he said, "You and I may be more closely related than you and your Welsh friends."
