The Greatest Invention Since Bottled Beer

Self-cooling beer bottles.

When I was a kid, I wondered why you couldn't have some kind of CO2 cartridge built in to the bottom of a can that when released and expanded would suck the heat out of the bottle. But I never bothered to run the numbers on it.

If the technology is scalable to clothing, as Josh suggested it might be, I would expect to see it integrated into desert camoflauge in the near future. After that, motorcycle and winter sports gear (for both heating and cooling).

I'm just not sure that the films are flexible and durable enough to integrate into clothing, but I'm pretty sure that they could find a way, given the right textile company investment.
