Puttering

I've been running cables and speaker wire for the move of the television from the living room to the new family room created by opening up the kitchen walls. And packing. I'm back to CA in the morning, for the week. Wall patching will have to happen next weekend.

Oh, and I've added a couple new sites to the space blogroll, Michael Belfiore and Jeff Foust's Personal Spaceflight blog.

I'm more than a bit of a transient.

My big brother has a big house, and his wife changes her mind all the time, and my brother explains to her how sound works, and how electronics need a clear line of line connection and stuff like that.

Once they compromise? It's up to me to fix it.

I like being usefull to my big brother, but I HATE the fact that neither of them plan ahead of time while I'm sweating my tuek off in their attic, or gagging in their crawl space.

Quick story, in the next post.

I was in the armed services, and I spent about 3 months out of every year in the "field"

A lot of people remember the girls they left back home, and some such. I was a single guy, who intended to spend my life alone, so I wanted to find out how I would live in the private sector.

So rather than building a perfect family, as the foolish lovelorn Marines would fantasize about in the field, I would imagine my dream house. No kidding, I can't describe the engineering, but I know a lot of things about my dream house.

I want a small cannonade nook built on the southeast corner of my house, I want a solarium on my western house, filled with glass, I want a Master bedroom that fills both the east and western views, with a narrow footing, allowing for NO televisions or other bedroom entertainment.

Anyways, my desires are besides the point. My brother, built a house, and he confered with me.

I instructed him that the the . . . . .whatsitcalled? 5 point connection? should be included in EVERY bedroom, including the master, BASIC cable shielded cat 6 cable should be in the same rooms.

Well, I would get even more pedantic than I already was, but I think the BASICS are clear.

Sorry Rand, you know so much more than I, and I just shouted out loud.

the point is? someone can make you a ninja of tech, even if that person isn't a ninja themselves.

OUT.
