Why Does Anyone With Half A Brain?

...care what this moron thinks?

Cindy Sheehan, who is leading a hunger strike against the war in Iraq, tells Norah O’Donnell she would rather live under Hugo Chavez than George W. Bush.

About what one would expect from an idiot who thinks that going without food for a day is a hunger strike.

And I should add, that my title is obviously indicative of my opinion of MSBNC producers and (for the most part) talent. Though I have to admit that Norah O'Donnell is easy on the male eyes. Particularly in contrast to Mother Sheehan.

And warning, if you don't have the latest in Microsoft Insecurityware (i.e., Explorer 7.0, and the latest Media Player) you won't be able to view the video. Good thing that Microsoft and NBC teamed up to make a cable channel...

Exactly who is forcing her to live in the United States?

I guess more to Rand's point, exactly what makes her a news worthy story? I understand the general big idea is that she is personally trying a new tactic by going on a hunger strike, but beyond that, her personal story is old new, the concept of hunger strikes is old news, and Code Pink hating the Bush Administration is old news.

I guess something new is the roaming hunger strike, where you don't eat for one day, and then someone else doesn't eat for one day. I'll give credit to the marketing genious who realized that MSNBC would eat this up (pun intended). It will be the news of the day, which anorexic celebrity gives up eating today?

Let's start a moving fund drive on eBay to move her to the southern hemisphere. It can't cost much, she's not eating, so no meals are included in her expenses.

The sooner the better.

if she prefers Chavez, why doesn't she move to venezuela? Maracaibo is lovely this time of year, if you like heat and humidity.

I don't care what she thinks so I don't read about her. Why do you keep bringing her up, Rand?

Whenever this sort of thing comes up I think back to Toohey's confrontation of Roarke in 'The Fountainhead", when he demands to know what Roarke thinks of him now that he's shown he can destroy Roarke's career.

And Howard Roarke cooly and indifferently emascualates Toohey in replying "I don't think of you".

I'm fine with Ms. Sheehan living in the U.S. I'm happy that she's able to speak her mind even if her voice shakes. I'm also compleely free to ignore her and put my mental efforts into other things. She has no claim on my time other than what I give her.

I think the point is an object lession in the Twilight Zone mentality of the left wing of the Modern Democratic Party.

They made this media monster and now they must pay the piper.

Well it's obvious that you care, Mr Simberg, since you posted links.

If the blogosphere started ignoring them instead of slamming them, maybe they'd go away.
