As a Catholic I'd like to say, this is a great move. This is the way ALL the governments of the world need to start acting and reacting to radical Islam.

Hopefully the E.U. leaders will follow the lead set forth here. I have my doubts. It appears to me there are few Catholics left in Europe, and they all work for the Vatican.

I expect that the rabble rousing factions of the E.U. will be telling us very soon, that the Vatican should stay out of this, that the Vatican is just making things worse, that the Vatican doesn't speak for the E.U., that the Vatican should just try to "talk" this out with the Islamoascist, murdering, domineering thugs, that the Vatican should nah nahnah nah nahnah nah...

We tried for years to get Sodamn Insane of Iraq, and other radical governments in that region to stand down. We tried to get him, and others, to talk, lay down their weapons, and let the world exist in peace. How'd that work out? Why do you think it will work now? What's changed to make it work now? Nothings changed. The only way to protect the world is to stand up to these thugs.

The amazing part of this, for me, is that the leader of a RELIGIOUS order is showing more testicular fortitude here, without a standing armed force to back up his statements, than most of the nations of the world are showing.

As they say in Italy, VIVA PAPA!!!
