Hoist By His Own Petard
Almost literally:
Iraqi security sources said a lieutenant of Al Qaida network chief Abu Ayoub Al Masri was found killed in a car on its way to an insurgency strike. The sources said a bomb inside the car blew up prematurely and killed the lieutenant and three other Al Qaida operatives.
Don't you just hate when that happens? No virgins for them.

I feel so sorry for them. All they did was try to remove our imperialist foot from the necks of the Iraqi people, the morons.

Maybe an accident, maybe the NSA got the number of the cell phone they were using as a trigger. We'll never know.

Nah, had to be a call from a telemarketer.

It's doubtful that the accident was anything but. After all, the US does have far more reliable ways of taking out members of Al Qaeda. I bet on static electricity and/or someone doing something that required a work environment far less bumpy than a moving car.

I think that "hoist by his own petard" has become so commonly used, that it deserves a single word description. On AoSHQ, I suggested "petarded" as the reasonable single word replacement for a full phrase.
Anyone else agree? Also, I think that "petarded" ROCKS! cuz it has an offensive sound to it while describing the basic phrase it is replacing.
Just a suggestion, that I hope becomes a movement. I hope that "hoisted up by (pronoun) petard" becomes "petarded." Just cuz I thought it up, and also cuz it rocks.

You think they were getting circumcized?

You think they were getting circumcized?
No, I'm sure it was a surprise.
There's no evidence they were tipped off.

Not even virgins that look like Helen Thomas?

Circumcision with explosives? I suppose that's one way to do it.

You think they were getting circumcized?
I'd say it was more like 'premature detonation', cause someone definitely got screwed.

I think Pookie was trying to dial his dealer and of course dialed a wrong number.
Again.
