Not Good Enough

This anti-pork proposal by Frist is better than nothing, but I'd still like to see a sunset amendment (which would include sunsetting entitlements).

I don't see why the Line Item would be unconstitutional, as long as the passage of the legislation is automaticaly invalidated with each new congressional election requiring a new passage.

Simple make it so that it will sunset on the day of the inclusion of each new congres, that occurs every two years. That way, each congress, can chose whether or not to allow the executive to take care of that kind of house cleaning. I mean after all, isn't the idea of individual un-related bills within a single bill/law, equally unconstitutional along the same lines?

If the reps, and senators have two differing bills (which I think is also relatively unconstitutional cuz I was taught that original intent, is that all legislation originate in the house) they can assign a smaller number of congressmen to authorize it? so it's okay for 12 senators, and representatives to veto items from a bill, but not for the Executive?

Of course, It should likely come down to a broad vote, a majority of house AND senate combined, for acceptance, so that would actually support the idea of devided branches.

I don't know I have so many thoughts about this, I don't know why someone hasn't come up with a way to make it real. After all, the senat minority is bitching about signing statements or whatever they are called.

You can elimite those if you stop including research into improved methods of milking the female breast for the more healthful nutrition of infants bills, that are attached to Iraq War funding bills.

This is one of the reasons thinking people hated Kerry "if you're smart, you don't have to author a bill, you include your own proposal on a bill that will pass" the FRIGGEN GUY SAID THAT DURING A NATIONAL DEBATE!!!!!
