Reconsidering

I've always been in favor of cloning, until I read this:

The former vice president, a Democrat, said on Monday that by the end of the summer he would start a bipartisan education campaign to train 1,000 people to give a version of his slide show on global warming featured in the film "An Inconvenient Truth" and book of the same name.

Did Al Gore really put on that much weight in the last few years? The picture of him attached to that story looks like he's added about 50-60 pounds to his frame, if not just his face.

I think he is just trying to play his own small part in fighting global warming by trapping as much excess energy as possible in his adipose tissue.

I've got a funny feeling that this is going to involve a lot of white robes, low-protein diets, male sexual abstinence, and anxious parents wondering why they aren't being allowed to talk to their college-dropout offspring at the "training" compound.
