Top Ten Ways

...to destroy the earth. Just in case you want to...you know...destroy the earth.

For those who actually haven't given it that much thought, it turns out that it's not as easy as it sounds.

Where was this list when Ming the Merciless needed it?

Okay, so destroying the earth isn't easy. I'll start small by destroying ... a sandwich.

Hey - The Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator didn't make the list.

Marvin demand a recount.

(oh this comment submission thing is riddiculous - not only can we not link my blog shekel.blog(youknowhwere).com but evben my screen name has the objectionable content of "7 p u " as in ak47 pundit

Actually, I believe we could easily accomplish this by 2012. All we would have to do is repeal the 22nd amendment. Four more years of GWB would surely cause the End of the World as we Know It! (cue REM).

And if that alone didn't do it, all the wingnuts going super critical would probably be sufficient to do the job.

I thought we already did this when we didn't sign the Kyoto treaty.

I have a minor quibble with "Number of times the Earth has been destroyed: 0". There is the small matter of the Moon-forming impact. It's true the Earth wasn't quite in a finished state at the time, but the impact did turn the single previously-existing planet into two planet-sized worlds, and "two planets" is one of the possible outcomes specifically listed. Method #3, "Pulverized by Impact with Blunt Instrument" considers an impact by a Mars-sized body without mentioning that this has actually happened once already.

I believe you're right. All those liberals' heads exploding at once, would surely knock the earth out of its orbit.

I suppose we should be thankful that yet another person interested in how to destroy the world wants to do it the hard way. There's no theoretical limit to how large an H-bomb you can build.
