Says who? The newest cancer drugs (utilizing various viral and subcellular techniques) have yeilded VASTLY better improvement rates.
The real battle is getting them through the FDA. We might see them in ... oh about another 50 years or so.

BTW, yes I get that it's a joke. Just wanted to say though that we are making improvement in treating cancer.

Yes, the author knows that, too. It's part of the satire.

I know it may seem odd but I’ve enjoyed the latest Blitzkrieg of bad press against the war and the administration. Each time the MSM trots out the far Left’s usual suspects to make their “Statement”, the rest of America get a chance to see if we’re still on track. One look at the TV tells them it’s just the same bunch of nutballs as last time they turn their attention back to work and the world goes on. The pattern will repeat itself until the Left has a concrete solution to propose. So far the only thing I’ve heard that even vaguely resonated was the veiled implication that we needed more Special Forces. The implication was that these troops would be used to eliminate our enemies without actually going to war. Well I’m all for that, but let’s hear a Dem actually say it…I double blue dog dare you!!! jjs

Related, it's amusing how everything's a "war" in at least American rhetoric nowadays... war on terrorism, war on drugs, even Dwayne Day's "The US-EU Chronowar" (about gps and galileo). The word loses it's emphasis when used too much.

Damn. Does anyone know if exposure to intense sarcasm is cancer-causing? I think I read two-thirds of the way down before I realized the danger I was in.
