Far too many people on the Internet write "dribble" when they mean "drivel." I assume that this is because people are either mispronouncing, or they are mishearing the word, and have never seen or noticed it in print.

Annoying, yes, but less so than comments (or even *whole blogs*) written with "text message" grammar and spelling.

At least when someone uses "dribble" for "drivel", what they are saying is still intelligible...not so with txt msg speakers.

(And what does one call users of that sub-English? Txtophones? Abbreviographs? Gibbering nitwits?)

I just saw that word written in the back of a library book. In pen. Yikes!

The book, by the way, was "Mere Christianity" by C.S. Lewis. Go figure.

I think you mean "moo" a "moo point" like a cows opinion. (thats a joeyism from friends)

In general I don't think it's a big deal, there are some things that bug me like "quote unquote" which it isn't. its "quote ENDquote" if you "unquote" you remove the quote that was there to begin with. The only reason that one is an irritant to me is because I hear it from jouro's, who've passed english classes, more than I have.
