Open Mouth

Insert both feet. Do they really think that this is going to help their cause? I think that this event is going to guarantee a harsher immigration bill.

[Late morning update]

A flag burning. Of a Mexican flag. In Arizona.

Things are heating up.

Some activists are so radical (or perhaps, so emotionally ill) that they need a harsh backlash to validate their views.

Rifle squads, deuce-and-a-halfs, swap drivers as needed for the run down to the border. Repeat as needed.

Seriously, all that's needed is to patrol the border (the Minutemen proved it can be done at reasonable cost) and to install officials who will execute the laws of the United States to the best of their ability. Fines or stretches in jail for "Americans" who hire illegals. What the hell, let's try it.

Mike James, there has to be a sane way of validating a 'Red Card'/Green Card/Social Security card that's more modern than filing out the IRS paperwork and waiting three years.

I personally don't see why it can't be a web-enabled 'instant' sort of thing. But if a plan doesn't mention dramatically updating how one finds out if a card is valid, you can tell that plan isn't serious.

open up the majority of the uninhabbited portions of the border to military training excercises. Our Equipment is so big resilient and responsive, that we don't even have to arm the guys during the excercise. The excercise itself will deter the illegals to move into inhabited area's making the bordertowns respond, and accept the national mandates for immigration.

Also, the Flag burned in Arizona was a SPECIFIC flag. It was hung on a poll, and was hanging superior to the US standard. Mexico has no sovereignty within the borders of the US. The order is US, State, county, municipal, individual, and noone else.
