Yeah, he makes the case for being a total nutball. I mean seriously, advocating murdering millions to tens of millions of people on the mere suspicion that a very small subset of them might do something bad in the future? I sure hope that was parody, because if it isn't that guy is seriously sick.

I don't think that he was proposing to "murder" or even kill tens of millions of people.

Apologies, on rereading, I guess that he is, since the nuclear facilities are within population centers (though I still don't know if it will mean "tens of millions").
The problem is that we often don't have any good choices, just bad and worse ones.

The Iranians are putting nuclear facilities "within" population centers???
If they're making weapons there, they may be relying on a very false notion of what Westerners will or won't do to stop them. And that would make the Iranian government themselves complicit in the deaths of their own countrymen.

...Re:the targets in civilian areas - we do have an option there that could defuse the whole thing. Simply give the population of those cities (and name them clearly with TIME OF ATTACK) 12 hours to get clear. If its clear that we mean business and intend to hit those targets regardless of civilian casualties, the 'people power' option could indeed come into play. Likewise, when the Mullahs see their human shields deserting them, they may indeed crack (though that option is admittedly low on the list).
