The Ides Of March That's today. And we all know what that means, right? Up against the wall, Amerikkkan imperialists. Errrrr...except that the original press release is no longer there. And when one does a site search for "storm in White House" a number of links appear, but nothing about actually restoring American democracy on March 15th by overthrowing the elected government and replacing it with Amnesty International. Maybe they decided it wasn't all that great an idea after all. Or they've just postponed the event until the national rage can build up a little more. Sigh. I had so been looking forward to the show. "Maybe they decided it wasn't all that great an idea after all." Or maybe they had a little visit from the Secret Service. :-D Posted by Barbara Skolaut at March 15, 2006 12:01 PMThose aren't incompatible statements, Barbara. ;-) Posted by at March 15, 2006 12:38 PMIts be reschedualed for the 20th as many just couldn't get it on their day planner. Posted by david at March 15, 2006 01:28 PMI can't seem to leave you a trackback. I linked from What if they gave a coup and nobody came?. Think it had anything to do with those AC-130s orbiting DC? Bwuhahahaha Posted by Bill Faith at March 15, 2006 02:21 PM It's certainly not because they had to be at work today... Posted by John Breen III at March 15, 2006 03:24 PMActually, they were beginning to approach the White House when they encountered some ex-cons, each with a fake gun carved out of a bar of soap. The "stormtroopers" ran away from the soap/guns in fear, not because they thought it was guns but because they knew it was soap. Posted by Tuning Spork at March 15, 2006 04:53 PMPerhaps someone woke up and realised taking over the White House might be a bit more difficult/hazardous that taking over the dean's office at Goshwatta U., and the consequences also might be more severe and longer lasting.
