Is George Voinovich Blubbering Again?

He should be. John Bolton has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. By a Swede.

I wouldn't mind a hundred Boltons being inserted into our diplomatic corps. Imagine the hygienic effect that would have.

It's a dilemma I will never in my life face, but an interesting one nonetheless, for idle commenters--if nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, does one accept, out of respect for the high ideals in which the Prize was born, or does one decline, because the Prizes awarded to Jimmy Carter and Yasser Arafat irrevocably tarnish the honor for all time?

What has John Bolton done to warrant this attention? My take is that Bolton was the minder for Colin Powell. When Powell left, there was no further use for Bolton. I find it telling that Condi Rice got rid of him so fast.

Got rid of him all the way to the United Nations, she did.

Stupid me--for my initial comment above, please read "...if awarded the Nobel Peace Prize..." instead of "...if nominated for"...etc...
