It seems that the democrats are very good at painting themselves into a corner. Last night on Jay Leno, Howard Dean was a guest and didn't have much a shtick other then the usual illogical rhetoric. In particular, he mentioned the Bush Lied people died idiocy, the need of a firm date for troop withdrawal so the terrorists know when they won, and that the National Guard shouldn't be in another country despite the fact that the military has been training up the Guard to take on a broader role for a little over a decade now.

There was one thing that I took note of when Jay asked him about the general disconnect that exists between the public at large and politicians on the hill. Dean said, "bottom line, we need less politicians that get elected and then sit and do nothing once they are in office" (paraphrasing). Well, to me he just gave a glowing endorsement of Pres. Bush because he's a politician that got elected and wasn't ‘fraid to make some hard choices and take action on those choices. The reason politicians in general get elected and do nothing is because once you commit to a choice and do something about it, you'll generally find that more people will actively express critical disappointment and Monday morning quarterback the situation then if you haven't done anything at all. The fact that so many people are disappointed in Bush is probably a good indication that he’s done more then the average President.

I think we're all hoping PITA -- er, I mean PIATOR -- comes back.

Tears are streaming from my eyes and my sides hurt. I think my coworkers are calling the asylum. That was funny.

If I don't stop laughing I'm going to flo@t (hey, that's questionable content?) up to the ceiling or something.
