Slick Goodlin, who lost a chance to be the first man to exceed the speed of sound in level flight to Chuck Yeager due to a dispute over the pay, has died.

So how much is a place in history worth? Ask any random 10 people who Chuck Yeagar was, and who Slick Goodlin was, and suddenly $150,000 doesn't seem worth it...
