Somebody Has To Cover It

Michelle Malkin has a roundup of links on what's increasing looking like Islamic terrorism in Oklahoma. This seems to be a story where the blogs are way ahead of the MSM. It would also be interesting to see if Jayna Davis comes up with any ties to the events of ten years ago.

[Update a couple minutes later]

Here's more.

I suspect the MSM is being asked to keep quiet because of an ongoing anti-terrorism operation. The just-announced bit about the threat to the NY subways may tie in with this.

If that's the case, Channel 9 in OK City hasn't gotten the memo...

I doubt if the two are directly related, though (other than it's all the same broad enemy). I thought that the subway threat was uncovered by intelligence gathered in Iraq?

Kind of odd to say blogs are ahead of the MSM on this story when quite frankly, the MSM is not even in the race. I quized my wife and mother-in-law (the latter especially enjoys CBS news...) about their knowledge of the incident. They had none.

I do agree that I doubt the MSM would remain quiet because they were told too by the government. Particularly, I don't think any "major" news organization would accept the Bush Administration run government telling them to keep quiet. It would take one hell of quid pro quo for them to do so.
