Maybe They've Got Real Jobs, And Lives?

CNN thinks that the lead of the story is the low turnout for the anti-anti-America protestors.

If the ocassional snipets of CNN I catch are any indication, they've gone fully into PR arm of the Democratic Party mode. Personally, I consider the left/right fracture of the info-tainment industry to be a good thing. The notion that the major news sources were fair and unbiased has always been a false one, so in that respect they've become more truthful. Now if they'd admit it openly, we'd really get somewhere, because the next step is asking "Okay, so where can I get just the facts, please?"

When I visited the CNN page the link to the story was labelled something along the lines of "Hundreds, not thousands, attend pro-Iraq war protest". Now isn't that a nice and balanced headline? I mean, when covering the anti-war protests, does CNN remind us that "Thousands, not millions, attend anti-war protest"?

Just amazing! So they report:

37 percent approved or leaned toward approval of how Bush has handled the situation in Iraq; strong disapproval outweighed strong approval by 2-1, 46 percent to 22 percent.

But doesn't that mean 59% approve in some way? Surely in a democracy 59% approval means we did the right thing? Basically, as this says is that if you are against the war, you really mean it...

I was a teenager during much of the Vietnam war and I don't remember any "we support the troops" type protests at all. May be a sign of the times. "Silent majority ain't bein' silent any more."
