A tragedy is a drama in which one is destroyed by the consequences of an action one took because of hubris. Applies more to Al Quaeda than to the U.S.

I still have issues with this so called "war" against a nebulous shadow organization. War is a clearly defined conflict between nation states. I believe some inciteful analysis is available at http://semanticrestructuring.com/Mambo/index.php

The concept of a nation state dates only to 1648. I assure you wars happened before that.
