It's Not All About Us Michael Totten writes about who we are at war with, and who they are at war with: The overwhelming majority of Islamist killers aren't terrorists. They are soldiers and members of state-sanctioned death squads. Most victims of Islamists violence aren't Westerners...they're the Islamists' fellow Muslims. It's easy to forget this -- or not even be aware of it -- if you aren't interested in what happens inside the Muslim world when George W. Bush, Tony Blair, and the rest in the West aren't involved.Posted by Rand Simberg at August 12, 2005 12:10 PM TrackBack URL for this entry:

The big problem is that our MSM is somehow blaming the U.S. and other members of the Coalition Forces for the deaths caused by these murdering thugs. If any of us has been counting, and I have, the murdering thugs are killing around 20 Iraqi Moslems to every single American they kill. Not sure how you set someone free of western imperialiasm by killing them! So as freedom fighters, liberators, or religious leaders they fall far short. I am not sure what the Koran has to say about killing innocent people, but I am not so sure it gets you into heaven. Actually, I don't see much difference in Sodamn Insane and these clowns. Murder is murder, and cloaking the murder in religious garb doesn't change that. Posted by Steve at August 12, 2005 12:52 PMSteve - the MSM doesn't care how many people die as long as they can use those deaths to damage Republicans, and particularly George Bush. They don't care that brown people in 3d world countries get killed by the millions, and I doubt they care if white people in the West get killed in large numbers, too - as long as none of the dead are (leftist) reporters, and as long as all those dead people don't cut into their advertising revenues. They have truly brought dispicable to unheard-of depths. Pfui on the lot of them. The overwhelming majority of Islamist killers aren't terrorists. "killers" those that kill are terrible to those that die...ergo terrorists. They are soldiers and members of state-sanctioned death squads. If the state sanctions it, the victims have much more to be terrified of...ergo terrorists. Most victims of Islamists violence aren't Westerners...they're the Islamists' fellow Muslims. They're victims. Isn't that enough? It's easy to forget this -- or not even be aware of it -- if you aren't interested in what happens inside the Muslim world when George W. Bush, Tony Blair, and the rest in the West aren't involved. Its also easy to forget how many people died when the towers fell...you remember those towers right??? Mac Its also easy to forget that most of the press seems to still be trying to graft public opinion to the left side. They remind us of the things that look bad to the right....constantly. And they gloss over and throw away (as quickly as they can) the things that make the left look bad. Here's one wishing that reporting was what it used to be. Give me the facts without perception and let me be the judge of those facts. Mac Posted by Mac at August 14, 2005 09:50 PMWHAT??!!!! You want the PRESS to allow you to... THINK?? U Funny!
