Prurient Minds Want To Know

This article doesn't really explain how the man actually earned his Darwin Award.

Feel free to speculate in the comments section.

But keep it clean. How's that for a challenge?

Careful, them boys kick HARD...

Posted by John Breen III at July 15, 2005 01:52 PM

A boy? You think it was a boy?

That reminds me of the old joke about the guy who went to see a psychiatrist, and said, "Doc, I've got a problem. I'm in love with my horse." The doctor asks, "...well, is it a male, or a female horse?"

"Female, of course! What do you think I am, queer?"

Posted by Rand Simberg at July 15, 2005 01:57 PM

Meant it as a more general term... I suppose "Careful, boy, them thar' horses got a mighty paahrful kick" might have been more appropriate, but I typed faster than I could think.

Funny, I automatically assumed the person died due to internal hemmoraging. (I never considered the guy might have been kicked to death.) I should really stop assuming the worst possible scenario. I wonder how the Morbidity and fatality reports would classify this

It's obvious. In the heat of the moment he whispered the wrong mare's name and his lil' filly got upset.

Posted by Brian Dunbar at July 15, 2005 02:55 PM

Looks to me like the horse found out about the goats and chickens and was not pleased.

"Willlburrr, what are you doing?"

How long until the local politions enact beastiality
laws....

Thirty-three states ban sex with animals, he said.

Seventeen don't?!

A "Blind man screws guide dog" story.

Sick bastards.

He seems to have found out the hard way why being hung like a horse isn't all it's cracked up to be...especially on the receiving end.

Posted by T.L. James at July 15, 2005 09:35 PM

well the law wont stop these sicko's from beastiality,,,, but it sure seems the horse has taken care of one for us.... time to give it a medal and send a few more of them sick bastards in to visit.... the horse... lol

this could be a good thing lol

Looks like that was one mare who defended her honor like a true lady.

Posted by Mark R Whittington at July 16, 2005 12:46 PM

Except that the mare in question was actually a male, and he, er, "delved too deeply" if you will.

(sigh) I just hope the risk of being saddled with this sort of ignominious end will serve as a cautionary tail to spur other equestrosexuals to rethink their risky lifestyle choice.

Do you actually know this from some other source, or are you making this up?

News reports are saying the man died of peritonitis following perforation of the colon, and that the it was an 'Arabian Stallion'.

Search Google News for 'enumclaw' 'horse'.

Somehow I can't see Vonage using this as an example of "Sometimes people do stupid things..." -- but it sure (ahem) fits.

Posted by McGehee at July 16, 2005 07:47 PM

Apparently, it *didn't* fit.

"This article doesn't really explain how the man actually earned his Darwin Award."
I think that even if a stallion was involved our "victim” would still be eligible for the award. His demise removed him from the gene pool however unlikely he may have been in successfully reproducing. It’s the stupidity involved in your activity that gains you the award. As well as either you successful withdrawal from the gene pool or barring your demise or losing the ability to reproduce, successfully destroying your chances of finding a mate willing to reproduce with you.

When will men learn that "neigh means neigh"?

Posted by Brian J. Dunn at July 19, 2005 10:11 AM

the man died from being taken by the horse, not the other way around, so the horse had plenty of opportunity to say no, or neigh, if you will... also, as to my wonderful state not having a law in place, this is the first time something like this has happened here that would make it seem that we would NEED a law... more frightening are the 33 states who have found it necessary... and for those of you looking for the newslink that shows that the death was caused by penetration, http://www.iol.co.za/index.php?set_id=1&click_id=22&art_id=qw1121747767468U223
