A Win For The Terrorists

I had my Swiss Army knife confiscated at airport security a couple years ago, when I made the mistake of having it in my pocket. It didn't occur to me, but all this nonsense is probably bad for the SAK business, perhaps to the point of putting them out of business.

They patented the color of the knife???

I had to give up my pocket-sized Leatherman tool at SLC last month, but for the price of an envelope and three first-class stamps, and less than a week's wait, I got it back.

I would have happily bought a new Leatherman if the TSA guy hadn't almost insisted I let them mail it back to me.

That's nice for you, but they sure didn't offer me that option.

A design patent I would wager. Yes, it is quite silly and generic. Hopefully Ferrari will not pick up the idea.
