I couldn't let this pass. Andrew simply has a huge blind spot when it comes to the credibility of the Swift Boat vets, because and (as far as I can tell) only because he doesn't want to believe them. I'm confident that he hasn't read the book, or he couldn't possibly write this sort of nonsense.

When it comes to "maniacs," let me present exhibit A: Lawrence O'Donnell, face red, veins bulging out of his neck, in a complete on-air meltdown, repeatedly screaming "Liar"" and "Creep!" at a calm, collected John O'Neill on Scarborough Country late last October. And Andrew calls the Swift Boat vets maniacs?

I never became interested in Sullivan. I know he means a lot to many bloggers, who knew him when... It's fairly telling to me that if you break with him on one issue, he'll defy you on other issues from then on, regardless of previous stance. Sounds trivial to me.

I had never heard of blogging when I first visited Sullivan's site. He kept talking about fellow "bloggers" so I eventually googled the word and found Glenn Reynolds and the rest of the blogging world. That's the one thing for which I'm indebted to him. I haven't visited his site for over two years now. I don't miss it. From the sound of it, no one who is rational would want to visit his site, at least not often.

Yeah, but does Andy then go on to explain how Kerry's record release relates to Andy's own sexual self-image, just like EVERY OTHER ISSUE IN HIS WHOLE WORLD?
